Back to Chiang Mai to attend the 6th annual MRIAC Thailand retreat, one of the most magic experiences of my life.
On arrival it was great to connect again with some amazing humans from last year and meet with the new attendees over a group Thai buffet lunch, all with the view I fell in love with last year. After some afternoon relaxation and catchup we met in the huge meditation and lecture space for evening talk and sacred heart meditation practice with MRIAC founder Melaney Ryan followed by chats outside the hall with whoever wanted to share experiences.
Day two started beautifully with grounding and anchoring exercises and lifting light frequency meditation. After breakfast level one and two Mahat Meditation practice with manifestation technique. After more delicious Traditional Thai dishes for lunch a group of us went to see the local Traditional Thai massage ladies In the village, then in the evening before bed an open meditation practice. What a perfect first full day.
Each day after was filled with meditation practices before breakfast and daily excursions, talks and Meditation practices throughout the day and night.
The night bizaar outing was fun, a great atmosphere of hustle and bustle with many stalls for shopping, live music and a delicious diverse group of food stalls that we sampled as we sat and enjoyed showing our purchases.
This year I attended the Kun Pauy school visit and the Jungle visit to meet the rescue elephants that I had missed last year. Meeting the children MRIAC sponsor and giving back in a way to the community that we are a part of yearly was very special. I had fun doing drawings with one group of girls, they had me drawing my first buffalo.
The previous year the local Buddhist monks had invited us to walk to their temple and share in some of their teachings and a meditation practice with them so we accepted their invitation for this unique experience.
We went also to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of northern Thailand’s most sacred temples. The stairs were many to witness the view of the city from its mountains throne, I did not climb them as the others did and saved my legs and energy for the Bang Kang Wat artist village we were visiting next and meditating later.
For myself and the Mahats who had already completed level three we were a part of a level four Mahat Meditation intensive theory training day. This was an incredibly sacred experience.
The level of awakening witnessed and experienced during the retreat made my heart sing. The unfolding of the return to self, self-realisation without suffering, inner purification through self review and empowerment of the ‘I AM’, Re-imprinting to co-create, learning how the positive and negative emotions interplay with the cognitive brain and heart intelligence, the role that I play, and studying Melaney Ryan’s hand drawings through her interactive learning style were just some of the things I experienced. I am humbled as I walk away with this as a part of me forever.
